The use of tables in web layout can make a page complicated because most layout tables use so many table attributes such as Rowspan, Nested and Colspan tables. Further, it is exacerbated when a table is nested. The HTML5 allows to use tables in page layout, but HTML 4.01 does not. When CSS is used, presentation is kept separate from the HTML and the maintenance of tables in CSS is easier.

Tables might obstruct flexibility of a page that affect SEO. The nested tables takes more time to load as compared to CSS for same design.

However, when it has infographics, Google will be unable to read. Ultimately it will lead to low SEO ranking.
